2021 ANNUAL TRAINING WEEKEND
The highlight of the Toy Libraries Australia calendar, the Annual Training Weekend is an opportunity for members to network and share information with toy libraries from around Australia, and to hear presentations on relevant issues. Previous presentations have included early childhood development, promoting your toy library, motivating your committee and best practice toy buying. Major toy wholesalers also come along and give great discounts to attendees.
The Toy Libraries Australia AGM and Committee of Management election is also conducted during the Annual Training Weekend.
The 2021 Annual Training Day will be held on 1-2 May 2021 at Kensington Town Hall in Melbourne. It's a low-cost event for members, and refreshments are provided. We encourage current serving committee members and coordinators to attend, as well as any interested members of your toy library.
For more information and ticketing please see the Toy Libraries Australia Facebook group.
STATE CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS
Toy Libraries Australia runs regular workshops for members, including state conferences in Adelaide and Perth.
The main aims of our workshops are:
To enable members to visit other toy libraries and see how they operate.
To provide an opportunity for members to meet with many committee members from other toy libraries all in one afternoon.
To provide a forum where questions about any aspect of operating a toy library may be asked and where any issues can be discussed by the participants.
To encourage members of toy library Committees of Management to operate their libraries effectively.
Upcoming state conferences and workshops will be announced on the Toy Libraries Australia Facebook group.
